Legends of Paul Bunyan, Lumberjack chronicled the life and work of Paul Bunyan with firsthand accounts and readymade myths. The Paul Bunyan theme and its futurity was the focus of the exhibition. This expedient hero of American artistic history has become an anti-hero in the new millennium. We also explored this abandonment and restored for posterity a truly American source of inspiration, Paul Bunyan.

Paul Bunyan Fine Art performing Lumbercore, Michigan.

Five Miles Out Lumbercore. Performance October 29, 2010, Michigan.
This Lumbercore was a collaboration between Paul Bunyan Fine Art and Rocky Ford Studio.

Lumbercore came about to give Paul Bunyan a fresh mission for the new millennium. As the myth of Paul Bunyan came from the woods, the aim of Lumbercore is to give, in return, myth back to the forest. Paul Bunyan Fine Art took on the responsibility to represent Paul Bunyan in his new role as both guide and shaman for the Lumbercore performances.
