The Legend of Paul Bunyan painted by Francis E. Danovich starting in 1939 and completed in 1941.
The color ink on plaster mural was commissioned by the federal Works Progress Administration for
the W.K. Kellogg Foundation Institute in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Currently only three fragments of the
original mural are displayed at the University of Michigan.
